One of my projects I'm currently working on is a retail showroom, its a semi-glass house i guess you could call it. The client wanted a design that is flexible to move it out from there and turn it into a stand in any exhibition, incase they wanted to participate. So I designed something that could be put together and look beautiful as well as if it was separated :)
Participating in Ramadan art bazaar
Finally I've managed to have some me time and make my own furniture pieces! Inspired by my thesis "shaping Islamic design into the modern century" I have designed a wall bookshelf that is geometric in shape but with a twist, I removed some pieces from it to give it non-traditional look. My other pieces are a chair and two tables, the chair I have designed it to be very modern and plain with a pop of Islamic geometric design on the side of the back:)
Spa under process
Here is my new project I'm working on, a nail spa that has fresh colors and a modern look! My inspiration was all about shapes and patterns, I'm very Into that pattern phase right now:) here is the inspiration piece along with my renderings :) soon I will post the final look of the shop when it's all ready!
Mc Queen Abayas (retail design)
This was actually the first shop i designed, the concept was to design a modern sleek shop inspired by the logo. i really enjoyed designing this shop, my plan was to give it this round shape, which gives it that modern look i was going for. I added a great feature behind the desk, where you have a cutout shape that mimics the logo with dimmed lighting beneath it, which gives the shop the wow factor. i met all the clients need by adding a storage room and a fitting room.
Later in the process i added a small section for (devous collection) i designed something relevant yet different, to give it the look that it belongs but at the same time its a private section.
Creativo Gifts (retail design)
I was hired to design the second branch of Creativo Gifts, the initial plan was to design a 28sqm shop, but later in the process the owner decided to extend and take over the shop next door. As for the design, the main idea was to have wall hanging painted frames, which i continued using. for the new plan, i've added a back wall the has two semi rooms behind it (an office and space for a refrigerator).
The colors that i used is inspired by the logo, its very funky and fresh:) I have custom designed the reception desk as well as the sitting area to match the space, I bought an Ikea coffee table and turned into a funky piece by painting it torques. As for the chair, i chose Louis chairs so it can give a mix of a vintage and modern look, which goes well with the classic frames. It was very challenging to find the right colors for the upholstery of the chairs, so what i did was that i chose three different material colors and had them stitch them together, so it looks as one piece and used it for the chair! The shop looks Vibrant and fresh!
Grafika boutique- elegant and chic!
Grafika has reopened in a new place with a new image. For this project I have decided to go a little green by reusing most of the items Grafika had in it's previous shop, it was exciting and challenging! Before starting any project I always start with an inspiration, either a picture, a logo or even a furniture piece. And for the new grafika, my inspiration piece was a vintage French round settee:) and from there I have designed a custom made round settee as a modern interpretation of the original one. With that piece I was inspired to choose a very calm and classy color pallet and add wall moldings to the space to give it a cozy French boutique look!
McQueen Abayas booth design (The bride show exhibition)
I have designed a booth for McQueen Abaya shop, which turned out amazing!,, I was going for soft and elegant which I achieved successfully. I've done the whole thing from A to Z, and custom made some furniture pieces that I'm very proud of :) the design consist of a sitting area, a changing room and a stand to display the Abayas :)
